This activity is a peer-based early intervention aimed at motivating vulnerable and disadvantaged people to change their behaviour associated with alcohol and drug use, and support them to access flexible and culturally appropriate primary, alcohol and other drug, and mental health services. Peer workers provide brief interventions, harm reduction and health education, mentoring and advocacy specifically for culturally and linguistically diverse people in the suburbs of Mirrabooka, Girrawheen, Koondoola, Balga and Westminster.
