WA Primary Health Alliance has partnered with the Benchmarque group to develop a new online learning module to support GPs and other primary care providers to manage chronic heart failure in primary care.
This nationally accredited qualification is designed to support GPs, practice nurses, Aboriginal health workers and other primary care providers with preventing disease progression in their patients, reducing complications, and improving quality of life.
As a nationally accredited qualification that is in line with current Heart Foundation clinical guidelines, completing this course can refresh and build upon your knowledge of the pathology underlying chronic heart failure and enhance your ability tohelp prevent disease progression, reduce complications, and improve quality of life for your patients. Learning outcomes include:
- Comprehend the Pathophysiology of chronic heart failure: Gain an understanding of the underlying mechanisms and processes involved in chronic heart failure (CHF), or refresh existing knowledge.
- Navigate Heart Failure Clinical Guidelines: Acquire an overview of the Heart Foundation’s Heart failure clinical guidelines: Guidelines for the prevention, detection and management of heart failure in Australia 2018, ensuring familiarity with current best practices.
