Viral Hepatitis for Nurses

Join us for this free online training to support your role in the elimination of viral hepatitis! This interactive webinar provides nurses in WA with an overview of viral hepatitis, in order to further engage people living with hepatitis B or hepatitis C in care.

The workshop will be comprised of a 90-minute interactive online training session?via Zoom comprising of presentations and quiz questions.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

 Describe risk factors for HBV and HCV, enabling discussions around prevention.

Discuss HBV and HCV serology to identify opportunities for screening, testing and linkage-to-care.

Describe the purpose of HBV and HCV treatment

Explain the nurse’s role in the management of:

a. Chronic HBV and HCV;

b. Advanced liver disease; and

c. Hepatocellular carcinoma.

Target Audience

This webinar is for nurses based in Western Australia.
