Spotlight on Syphilis: A Sexual Health Update

This webinar will provide Western Australian health professionals with the
information and tools required to improve syphilis screening and care for at-risk and
key affected populations. The update will use clinical vignettes to illustrate the
implications of the infectious syphilis outbreak in WA on health professionals’
practice.

• Identify at risk populations to screen or test for syphilis.
• Explain the clinical stages of syphilis and identify clinical symptoms.
• Determine the role of partner notification and contact tracing in managing the
public health risk of syphilis.
