Managing suspected cow’s milk allergy in rural practice: How allergy assist can help

Paediatric Clinical Immunology/Allergy Specialist Dr Chaitanya Bodapati will explain the different presentations of cow’s milk allergy, how it can be managed with alternatives, and what advice you can give to patients and parents.

You’ll have the opportunity to ask your questions directly to a panel of clinical immunology allergy specialists.

Learning outcomes:

  • Recognise the difference between IgE and non-IgE mediated milk allergy.
  • Learn about who requires further investigation including skin prick testing.
  • Criteria for considering cow’s milk elimination in the diet of a child and/or breastfeeding mother.
  • Dietary considerations including cow’s milk (dairy) alternatives.
