Accessing the Australian Immunisation Register and My Health Record in Aged Care

As we age our immunity against vaccine preventable diseases starts to diminish and our immune system does not work as effectively.

The National Immunisation Program has several vaccinations for older adults that cover vaccine preventable diseases, however our current immunisation rate is roughly 44%. As people enter aged care homes, staff should be able to access up to date immunisation history for their new and existing residents as well as be able to explain to families why these vaccines are so important.

Join this webinar on Tuesday 29 October for RACH’s management, clinical and non-clinical staff.

It will cover the following topics:

  • How to access and use PRODA, HPOS and AIR
  • How to locate an immunisation statement on AIR
  • My Health Record and its uses in an aged care setting
  • Increasing knowledge as to why we vaccinate people who are older adults.
